Country music artist Brad Paisley is a popular entertainer who’s racked up more than 25 Grammy, Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association awards. This weekend, he’s also the main attraction at an over-the-top summer tour stop that features performances by guest artists Darius Rucker (of Hootie and the Blowfish fame) and Justin Moore, and a “Water World Plaza” with a separate stage where Easton Corbin, Steel Magnolia and Josh Thompson will play. There’s also a fishing simulator, dunking booth and Chevy Corvette driving simulator, where fans can test their driving and racing skills against Paisley’s.
Prizes are also up for grabs. The fan who donates the most food items (in pounds) 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at the St. Mary’s Food Bank station at the west-side gates of Cricket Wireless Pavilion will win a pair of lower-level reserved tickets and passes to meet Paisley. Additionally, Paisley has partnered with Hope Through Healing Hands’ campaign for clean water, and donations made during the show will go toward digging wells and purifying water in America and around the world.
>> Doors open at 4 p.m. Saturday at Cricket Wireless Pavilion, 2121 N. 83rd Ave., Phoenix. $29.25-$75.75. (800) 745-3000 or www.livenation.com.
