The downtown Phoenix venue known as the Dodge Theatre is getting a name change. The building will now be called Comerica Theatre, thanks to a new five-year sponsorship agreement between theater operator Live Nation and Comerica bank.

Jerry Seinfeld will be the first act to perform in the newly named space when he takes the stage Oct. 9. Coincidentally, Seinfeld was the first comedian to play the Dodge when it opened in April 2002.

The theater is located at 400 W. Washington St. Information: livenation.com.

I stopped going to the Dodge, so changing the name won't matter. The congestion down there stinks so bad, I decided it's not worth the headache.
