The Temptations formed in Detroit in the early 1960s, and by 1964 the group had released the first of 37 top-ten hits: “The Way You Do the Things You Do.” The legendary Motown group known for that and later classics such as “My Girl” and “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg” comes to the Valley this week with baritone Otis Williams, the band’s only living original member, still in the lineup.

>> The Temptations will perform at 8 p.m. Friday at Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino, 5040 Wild Horse Pass Blvd., Chandler. $35-$100; get $10 off with a free Player’s Club card available in the casino. (800) 946-4452 or wingilariver.com.
