Singer Jimmy Buffett coming back to Valley

Heads up, Parrotheads! On April 12, singer/ songwriter/ author Jimmy Buffett will bring his Coral Reefer Band to the Cricket Pavilion in west Phoenix.

Buffett, known for his mañana-based worldview and hits like "Margaritaville" and the recent country remake of Hank Williams’ ‘‘Hey Good Lookin’, ’’ had a busy 2004, releasing his first country album, the critically acclaimed "License to Chill," and also offering up his third work of escapist fiction, ‘‘A Salty Piece of Land.’’

The April show will mark Buffett’s first concert in the Valley in nearly two years.

Tickets, which are $36 to $78.50, go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday at the Cricket Pavilion box office.
