Choose from an extensive menu of food-related events Thursday through Sunday at the third annual Bon Appetit Scottsdale Celebrity Chef Golf Invitational and Culinary Weekend.
National and local chefs will be on hand at Valley resorts to share their secrets and hit the links. Proceeds benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The weekend kicks off 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday with the ArtWalk at galleries throughout downtown Scottsdale, which includes hors d’oeuvres, pastries and wine tastings from Scottsdale restaurants as well as live entertainment. Other events include cooking classes and seminars Friday and Saturday with chefs from the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort at Gainey Ranch, James Hotel, Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain and Royal Palms Resort and Spa.
The golf tournament starts at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at the Grayhawk Golf Club on the Raptor course designed by Tom Fazio. Honorary chairman Todd English, celebrity chef of the growing Olives Restaurant empire, will play a round along with nine other nationally known chefs, including Nobu Matsuhisa (Nobu) and Roy Yamaguchi (Roy’s). Saturday night features a "Best of the Southwest" dinner at the Hyatt Regency, where Valley chefs will serve their signature dishes.
A Flavors of Tuscany champagne brunch 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the Royal Palms, hosted by Bon Appetit wine and spirits editor Anthony Dias Blue, will conclude the weekend.
