"This year's election is important because voters will judge the Republican agenda for the last two years. During that time, the Tea Party-led majority introduced bills allowing guns on school campuses, cut investment in our schools by $1.2 billion, denied thousands of Arizonan children basic medical care and tried to destroy our renewable energy industry. They have divided our communities, cost us jobs and damaged our reputation.
Simply put, their priorities are out of whack. Instead of building our state's economy, they undermine it. Instead of creating a workforce for the future, they desire a workforce for the last century. If Arizona is to be nationally and globally competitive, we must focus on improving our economy through investment in education, new industries and by exploiting new opportunities while looking out for all of our citizens.
My focus will be on those things that matter most: jobs, education, the economy and demanding accountability of government officials. Individual citizens, community and business leaders can count on me to consider all of their needs and vote responsibly.
By electing myself, Ed Ableser and Juan Mendez in November, LD26 can help get Arizona back on track. With your support, we can do much better."
