John Sentz - East Valley Tribune: Candidates

John Sentz

The Sentz’ have been in Gilbert since 1976. Our children and grandchildren have attended Gilbert Public Schools and we all agree "Gilbert is the best place to live and work."

Gilbert needs the leadership, experience and a vision for the future that I can provide to ensure that Gilbert continues to be the best place to live, work and raise our children. But I need your help. It will take all of us working together to ensure it stays that way.

During my time on the Town Council, I have championed several process improvements to make Gilbert more efficient, as well as, provide cost savings. Several new technologies have been implemented to provide better service to our residents. Measurement metrics have been developed and implemented to track the Town’s improvement progress and to ensure it’s accountability to you the residents of Gilbert. Obtaining inputs on issues facing the Town from our residents is a critical function in making Gilbert the best it can be. Let me hear from you on any issue(s) you have concerns about.

We can all benefit from the development of partnerships that will enable the participants to take advantage of each other’s strengths and avoid overlaps. I have facilitated such partnerships. One of these is the Town of Gilbert Veterans Day celebration which is a partnership between the Town of Gilbert, Higley and Gilbert Public Schools. I will continue to work towards increased partnerships where it makes sense for the betterment of the organizations and the citizens of Gilbert.

As the economic recovery continues, we are facing new challenges that leadership, experience and vision will require. We need leadership that listens and involves the citizens of Gilbert. I can provide all that and hope you will join me in making a difference. I look forward to your vote for Gilbert Town Council.
