"J.D. Mesnard was elected to the State House of Representatives in 2010. As a freshman legislator he was nominated "rising star" by his peers, and named Representative of the Year by the business community for his introduction of landmark job-creation legislation that was signed into law in 2012. He was also made Chairman of the prestigious House Commerce Committee.
Mesnard is Pro-Free Enterprise and Pro-Life. He advocates limited government that is both fiscally responsible and accountable, supports stronger border security (more than just lip service) and educational reform, and defends 2nd Amendment, Private Property and States' rights.
A small business owner, investor and consultant, Mesnard has also been active in the community. He spent years as a youth counselor and mentor at his local church, and helped establish Voices of the World, a non-profit charity that provides humanitarian aid to the poor and destitute of the world.
Born at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa (his father is a retired fighter pilot), Mesnard has lived in Arizona for over 20 years. He is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of ASU, and holds masters degrees in both Business and Public Administration.
Mesnard is adjunct professor of political science at Mesa Community College."
