"I am taking advantage of the $500 exemption, which greatly simplifies the campaign process. This also means means I have to stick with a $500 budget and be very frugal and creative in my campaign. This option makes running for office more available to all people, which I want to encourage anybody to try at least once. I've always wondered why candidates feel they must spend huge sums to get elected and wonder how they will protect our tax dollars if or when they get elected. I think lawmakers should be very careful with taxpayer money and carefully consider the impact of bills on law abiding citizen's rights and liberties. I also feel we should vote on only one issue at a time, one issue per bill. I hate those campaign signs on every corner. They are counterproductive, often confusing, distracting and I won't use them. Your vote is important, so use it wisely. Please vote for me!"
