"Karyn Lathan has spent over 25 years in law enforcement as a Police Officer in the Air Force, Correctional Officer, and Probation/Parole Officer. She implemented the first Restorative Justice program for Arizona Department of Corrections. Now as a small business owner, Karyn is vested in seeing Arizona move towards comprehensive economic development. Karyn will support local companies and local workers by promoting investment and incentives for Arizona companies who hire Arizona workers first. Regulations should arise from the local level of government rather than from state or federal government. Karyn believes in making K-12 and higher education a priority, which requires restoring funding to education. She is committed to investing in our children, who represent the future of Arizona. Karyn stands with Planned Parenthood in making sure that every woman has access to life-saving cancer screenings, as well as access to contraception for both medical necessity and family planning reasons. Karyn Lathan will bring moderation and critical thinking back to the Arizona Legislature. Karyn does not believe any one political party has all the answers for every problem. All sides of an issue should be considered, and the best solution for all should be chosen. People Before Politics."
