"I'm not a politician. I'm a businessman. At the age of 32 I created SkyMall in-flight magazine and since then I have created over 1,000 jobs here in Arizona. I'm running for the Arizona State Senate because I believe Mesa and Arizona deserve real leadership and an elevated dialogue regarding our state's priorities. I've been married to my wife Christi for 35 years and we have 6 children and 16 grandchildren. All 6 of my children graduated from East Valley public schools. I love Mesa and I love this state. For too long the legislature has failed to move this state forward on a positive note and represent the voters of this state in an effective manner. The legislature introduces too many bills, negotiates the budget in the dark, pursues hot-button social issue headline legislation, fails to pass meaningful lobbyist gift reform, and often conducts business in a divisive and confrontational manner. I'm running for the senate because I want to use my businesses and real world experience to solve real problems. With your support, I promise you that I will work on meaningful legislation and focus on the priorities that matter most to Mesa voters: jobs, the economy, and our children's education."
