"People often complain about politicians not working on issues that matter. My goal as a lawmaker the past six years has been to work on big issues that improve the lives of Arizonans. My primary focus has been on education, public safety and efficient government. I am humbled by the endorsements of the Mayors and School Superintendents of Mesa, Apache Junction, Gilbert, Queen Creek and J.O. Combs. I hope their endorsements serve as a confirmation of my efforts.
As one of only two CPAs in the legislature, I also understand balanced budgets, good tax policy, and pro-business legislation. The Arizona Chamber of Commerce said this was one reason why they selected me "Senator of the Year" for 2012 and why readers of the Capitol Times named me "Republican Senator of the Year". I am optimistic in my approach to government and work hard to find solutions to real issues. This problem solving approach has earned me the support of groups like the Arizona Medical Assoc, ASCPA, Fraternal Order of Police, Arizona Realtors, Highway Patrol Assoc, and Mesa/AJ Fire Assoc, to name a few.
I ask for your support to return to the Senate to continue working on issues that matter."
