Kathleen Espinoza - East Valley Tribune: Elections

Kathleen Espinoza

My name is Kathy Espinoza and I have been an educator for thirty five years and retired in 2011, after 16 years in Tempe Elementary District  #3. I want to rejoin this district family as a Governing Board Member. This district has demonstrated an innovative and dynamic family represented by students, parents, employees, and community members.

I served on the IBN Team (Interest Based Negotiations) and know firsthand the continuous effort of our district to be financially stable, to acknowledge the excelling student achievement and the instructional excellence. I know how every employee impacts the learning of our students from office staff, nutritional services, custodial services, instructional assistants, tutors, and volunteers.

I am foremost a child advocate. I believe in a free, quality public education that serves all children. Public schools are the exemplification of the melting pot upon which our country was founded. All children are welcomed, all children can learn, and all children are given the tools to be successful citizens. Lifelong learning is the outcome of school employees who model a love for learning and quality education.

If elected, I will champion and continue to support this learning model for our schools.
