It's incredible that we can put men on the Moon, an unbelievably complicated rover machine on Mars, and science labs in orbit around the Earth --- but we cannot create a voting machine that is unhackable, nor can we create an online voting system that is secure and hack-proof.Or is it that the powers that be DON'T WANT TO?

You may be right about some, or even many of the voters just procrastinating about their "early" ballots, but I heard of many cases of people being on the early ballot list but insisting that they had never asked for an early ballot. I heard of people whose names had somehow disappeared from the "active" rolls. Many, many people who DID request an early ballot but never got it. Something is amiss! I just don't believe that voters in Arizona just suddenly forgot how to vote! Certainly it was "pilot error" in some cases, but not all, and these circumstances are unusual enough to warrant at least an investigation. Regardless of the outcome, we need to be able to trust the process.

You're absolutely correct, Sandy. There were too many errors just within my own family for me to think there incidents were minimal or isolated. From being not on the voting roll in spite of not changing address since the last election, to having to vote as a mail-in voter, even though 1) she never signed up for early voting and 2) she never received an early ballot either.
BTW, this out of two out of seven voters. Those are not good odds or ones designed to make me feel very confident in election results in Arizona.

I received an early ballot and mailed it about 2 weeks before the actual election, just like last election, so I hope and assume it was counted. My brother however has lived in the same house since the last election for which he received and used his early ballot, yet for some reason he did not receive one this election. He managed to vote but only after problems at the poll, the main question is why did the early ballot not show up? There is something wrong.
