Maybe 13 years ago I was fishing on the Salt and I heard something and turned to my right and there about 40 ft away or so were several horses!
They were so silent I almost hadn't heard them at all. They had come walking over rocks like ghosts.
They weren't the least concerned about me, of course. They just came for a drink.
I just stood there with my mouth open just watching until they left. I didn't move for fear of spooking them, I wanted to just watch them all day.
An awesome experience to have those huge wild horses come so close with no fear.
They should definitely be protected and allowed their freedom.
I have my doubts about limiting their fertility unless it is proven they are too numerous for the available food. Those horses were not starved looking. I think nature has it's own way of governing population.
Let nature be.
