Turkey stories are half the fun of Thanksgiving

  You are one funny writer. To say I enjoyed your column would be like saying Liz Taylor was okay looking. It was a great. My first turky disaster was when my husband was in the Marine Corps. We invited some jarheads to Thanksgiving dinner not realizing that the oven in our new base digs was not working. We sat and sat and sat. Finally one poor kid said, "When are we going to eat/" I think we ate rare bird.

  The scene from "A Christmas Story" where the turkey is stolen by the dog and the family has the traditional dinner at a Chinese restaurant is hilarious.

  Keep up the good work. I'll look for your next column.
