The Phoenix Zoo will celebrate Día de los Reyes Magos on Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 6 – 10 p.m. during ZooLights. This Latino holiday commemorates the day when the Three Wise Men followed the star to Bethlehem and arrived bearing their treasured gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh for the Baby Jesus.
The evening event will feature a traditional celebration including games, activities, mariachis, animal presentations and a chance to visit with the Three Kings to receive a small treat and much more. Admission into Día de los Reyes Magos is included with regular ZooLights attendance. A lighted pathway of luminarias will guide you to the Zoo’s Plaza de los Niños where the Three Kings and all activities will take place.
