To raise money for the nonprofit Maxie’s H.O.U.S.E. Sachi Salon & Spa in Scottsdale is holding a “Cuts for Kids” charity event.   During this event, all proceeds from children’s hair cuts and 20% of all retail proceeds will be donated to Maxie’s H.O.U.S.E., which was created to be the voice for children in blended families around the country, as well as an educational resource for parents and caretakers in blended family situations.

The mission of Maxie’s H.O.U.S.E.  is to educate the public, parents, caregivers and lawmakers about the need to ensure the emotional and physical well-being of children in blended families.

Maxie’s H.O.U.S.E. was founded in 2012 by Dr. Dina Shacknai, mother of Max Shacknai. Max died tragically on July 16, 2011, while visiting the home of Dina’s former spouse.
