PHOENIX, AZ – Daddy Real Entertainment presents country music’s legendary Restless Heart with special guest Walker County at 8 p.m. on Friday, November 2nd at Celebrity Theatre.
Restless Heart celebrates more than 25 years of polished harmonies and an electrifying sound. Grounded with all five original members, the band has two new albums in the works — a Christmas collection and something they're calling the “Encore Project,” which features covers from back in the day that will be updated with a Restless Heart sound. Think “Wichita Lineman,” “Please Come to Boston” and hits by the Rolling Stones and Jimmy Buffet, among others.
“These are some great songs by great songwriters, and we'll put our twist on it,” said singer Larry Stewart.
Formed in 1983, the vocal style of Restless Heart became instantly identifiable – an intertwining five part harmony led by Stewart, with Dave Innis on keyboards, Greg Jennings on lead guitar, Paul Gregg on bass and drummer, John Dittrich. They brought a new, contemporary sound to Nashville that would strongly influence popular country acts of today like Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts and Little Big Town. Restless Heart put 26 hits on the country charts with six No. 1’s including “That Rock Won't Roll,” “I'll Still Be Loving You,” “Why Does It Have To Be (Wrong Or Right),” “Wheels” and “Bluest Eyes In Texas.” By the early ‘90s, the band members had gone on hiatus. It wasn’t until the new millennium that all five members reunited, and are still going strong.
Walker County is a family band that hails from Sulphur Springs, Indiana. The group consists of sisters Ivy Dene Walker, the lead singer and rhythm guitar, Sophie Dawn Walker, the drummer, their father Billy on guitar and cousin Jim on bass. Their blend of country, rock, southern rock, pop and soul is adding to a burgeoning fan base wherever they go.
