Take Charge America, Inc., a non-profit credit counseling, debt management and housing counseling agency, is hosting its two-day TCA AZ Homebuyer Education Course Tuesday, Nov. 6, and Thursday, Nov. 8. This free workshop runs from 4 to 8 p.m. each day. It will help first-time homebuyers:

Assess the costs of homeownership;

Review their budgets and credit;

Determine what they can afford to buy;

Learn how to shop for the best loan;

Understand lender guidelines; and

Know how to protect their investment.
