Arizona's statewide gas price landed at more than $3 a gallon Thursday, as civil unrest in Egypt kept crude oil prices up, according to AAA Arizona. The state average was $3.035.
Early this week, oil closed above $92, responding to the political turmoil. A drop in fuel demand counterbalanced the price for a while, but over last week, it's now up 3 cents.
Nationwide, prices were up 1.5 cents to $3.116 per gallon.
In the East Valley, the average price was $3.032, up 3.6 cents from last week.
