Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Mesa cellular phone store where officers say one of the men pointed a gun at the clerks and told her she had 10 seconds to hand over the cash or he’d shoot her.

The two men entered the Mega Cellular store at 1437 E. Main St. about 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday with their faces partially covered and went behind the counter and threatened the clerk. The men then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash in a light blue backpack with a cell phone they also stole from the store, according to Mesa police.

The two men fled in a dirty, gold mid-sized SUV.

The owner of the store believes that one of the men had robbed the store on May 5.

One of the suspects is described as a Hispanic male in his early 20s with short black hair, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds.

The other suspect is described as a Hispanic male about 17 years old with a skinny build and was wearing a black T-shirt and shorts.

Let us review the situation from a liberals perspective. First and foremost, its society's fault for allowing this to happen. Humor me, I'll explain why. The "thieves in question" were possibly not allowed to enter our beloved global homeland without some sort of "tainted welcome" by those pesky conservatives. The "undocumented" were systematically forced to go underground for most of their "legitimate" needs. Instead of being welcomed with open arms, free of all encumbrances, and prejudices, they were treated as second-class citizens. This " unprivileged class" was forced to live a life that citizens take for granted. As you can now understand, dear reader, its society's fault. May I suggest that we eliminate the borders, print all levels of govt correspondence in several languages, and grant full citizen rights to whomever takes a sunday stroll across the border. What a wonderful, global community we all can be. Multi-culturism, political correctness, diversity-----can we all get along?

We should ask our friend Jon Beydler how he feels about this. Why just the other day, he wanted to put Sheriff Joe in jail. Maybe if Sheriff Joe did a little swing by downtown Mesa, he could put a dent in this type of activity.
