Just because a bunch of invading aliens don't like getting caught and given free pink underwear doesn't make their complaints of profiling / discrimination a fact.
I think the Justice Department is going to lose this big time.
They have no VERIFIABLE evidence on paper ... just a bunch of invaders *itching cause they got caught.
"Joe's done nothing wrong" is the crux of it, isn't it? I don't believe there is really anyone who believes that statement. His supporters KNOW. They just don't care.
Dear Driving Miss Dale: And just what do you expect to resolve by riding the county of Sheriff Joe? Maybe a "D"-loving, socialist, statist, replacement accountable only to the "marxist-in-chief"? How about explaining to the families of those raped, assaulted, and murdered by illegals the benefits of multi-culturism and political correctness.
Dear Trans----is that in reference to trans-gender? If you believe that life is so hard for you here, then move to a strict anti-gun zone, full of those whom you hold in such high esteem. May I suggest a "sanctuary city" of your choice. Chicago comes to mind.
The Obama administration challenged Arizona on the grounds that its immigration law was a flagrant state overreach and racial and ethnic profiling. During the challenge to SB 1070 before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Obama administration lawyer said, "We're not making any allegation about racial or ethnic profiling in this case."
But now, in this case, the lawsuit filed by the Dept. of Justice against the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is again making allegation about racial or ethnic profiling. Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice, Thomas E. Perez said, "If you look Latino, the complaint alleges, you are all too frequently fair game."
Racial discrimination against Latinos within the Arizona community – The outcome of the suit should spell the end of the powerful DOJ question of whether that statute enacted by the Arizona legislature conflicts with federal immigration statutes enacted by the United States Congress.
They say they were here before we were. Right and look at what happened to the Native American. Gives you some idea of what our South American neighbors may have in store for North Americans. They say they are victims of racial profiling, but how many give census data claim to be white? (I must admit, it's a clever tactic--that is, the way they show up for the census, but get lost when our sheriff comes around.)
The hard, undeniable, irrefutable truth is this: any country, any country that finds itself deluged by an invasion of illegal aliens must act to protect it's borders. It's laughable, it's laughable to have local law enforcement authority brought up on charges for protecting his community from an influx of non citizens. Actions against local authority is especially egregious when you consider the level of crime, viz. U.S. penal institutions, overburdened hospitals, a crisis in education. Consider, especially, drug trafficking, drop houses, gangs, etc.

It's long past time this went to court. It's been dragging on since June of 2008, accompanied by loud, over-blown and hysterical hyperbole on one-side and saber rattling endless rhetoric from the other. Let a court decide; that's what we have them for.

kj,
Wow, I thought I'd never hear the argument you have just given from the likes of you. Here it is recast from a slightly different perspective.
You conclude " How about explaining to the families of those raped, assaulted, and murdered by illegals the benefits of multi-culturism and political correctness." inferring that what Joe does is justified by the crimes you site, crimes you infer are being held in check somehow by what Joe is doing. It's called "ends justifying means." Are you sure you want to make this argument? Maybe not! But you just did! Where in the Geneva Bible have you read that sort of logic?

Why the FBI has not filed criminal charges DOES NOT reflect well on the case agents. Those that think Joe is not a criminal are CLUELESS...Joe is a born LIAR and a yet to be convicted organize crime leader. Arizona does not need evil subhumans ...Right Joey!
