Should the Mesa Arts Center still host a Republican presidential primary debate even if it looks like Mitt Romney or another candidate has the race locked up?

12 votes registered and it's a three way tie. "Let's have it" "no point in wasting time" and "I'm voting for Obama regardless of who is picked" each have two votes.
It should be interesting to see precisely how the Republican field is whittled down. Will it go to a summer convention? Will Ron Paul fall in line or run as a third party candidate? The general thinking among those at the center of the Republican establishment is to end it [with Romney] as soon as possible such that the field does not feed President Obama any more fodder.
I plan to vote for the President, this because 4 years is never enough to accomplish all that needs to be done. With Mitch McConnell blocking the way forward, likely 8 years will not be enough either. And Obama's promise of "change" held more hope and promise that did McCain's promises of more and more war. Fear that McCain might not last 4 years, leading to a Sarah Palin presidency was the frosting on that cake!
So having the campaign run itself into the ground suits me just fine. Bring it on! I voted for "Let’s have at it! No race is over until it's over."

While this poll is hardly random or objective, we do have a slice of our society here. At 20 votes we have 14 on the side of either allowing the Republicans duke it out so that President Obama does not have to do all of the swinging, or vote for the President [essentially the same side] and 6 on the side of either stopping the debate or going forward [yes, a mixture for sure] in hopes that the mess now created on the Republican side some how can improve.
14 to 6. Here in the East Valley it sure doesn't look good for Mitt Romney, does it!
