My name is Andrea Garcia and I want to be your employee. I am running for State Senate as a Libertarian. With Libertarian ideas being embraced by both parties and the word "Libertarian" becoming more mainstream I would like to share with you what the true Libertarian philosophy is. As a Libertarian I believe in the individual's right to life, liberty and property. The government's sole purpose is to protect these rights, not diminish them in any way.
What I see are Democrats who will take away your property and your liberty by taking more of your money and dictating to you who will benefit from it. I see Republicans who will take away your liberty by creating more laws that invade your private life and tell you how to conduct it. Without liberty or property you CANNOT maintain individual rights, you cannot maintain personal responsibility. The Government makes all the decisions and the servant has become the master. How can you call that FREEDOM?
I vow to pass only legislation that will restore Government to its proper role. We need to develop solutions through our communities and the private sector, not our government. My hope with the depression was that it would at least encourage neighbor to help neighbor and restore a sense of community. Instead our legislators continue to pass laws that pit people against each other, destroying the fabric of our communities.
My focus is to rebuild AZ and LD18, one community at a time, by restoring the idea that "We The People" do indeed hold the power, not bureaucrats who get elected, only to push theirs and their party's agenda.
