As a candidate for Senate, I will advocate improving education, business, and infrastructure, in our community.
In a state with excellent universities and community colleges, Arizona K-12 schooling ranked 49th in the country. I will work to support student-specific education. I propose a scholarship program to reach students who are still developing. I feel compelled to create mentorship programs which will act as social switchboards for those who are unaware of the available resources, and consequently unable to access them.
Mesa needs more business. To support that goal I will propose a student entrepreneur program. We need to clean up and build up downtown to provide a social environment to attract retail customers.
Infrastructure means public services and public resources. Infrastructure is critical to the quality of life and commerce. In addition to supporting police and fire services, I will work for sensible regulation and enforcement of codes that ensure our safety. I recognize when many people are at risk, quality and regularity of public transit is crucial to economic stability.
I will work to capture funding and provide sensible budgeting for these goals. We want people to shop and live in Mesa. Vote and help me get started.
