U.S. Senate Candidate Jim Deakin, GOP

As a family man I'm concerned about our children's future and know that the future of all Arizonan's should reside within our State, not with the Federal Government. As a Navy veteran I stand with conviction and integrity to support and defend our Constitution. As an entrepreneur I know the importance of a free market system where the people are responsible for the economy, not the Government.

My respect and admiration of the Founding Fathers and our Constitution leads me to restore our Country to the principles of liberty. By staying committed to the underlying beliefs of the Founders and the Constitution, by limiting the scope of governmental authority and applying honesty and integrity in my decisions I will prove to be the right choice for US Senator.

If you've had enough of the politics you do have a choice.

Platform Positions:

• Limit the Federal Government through a Conservative interpretation of the United States Constitution. I will return the Supreme Law of the Land to the forefront of politics in Washington D.C. I will remind every elected and appointed official that they take an oath to support and defend our foundation.

• Empower the States. As a 10th Amendment Center signatory I respect and understand the importance of placing the responsibility to govern as close to home as possible.

• Protect the People. I will work tirelessly to get the border wall finished, and to ensure our existing laws are enforced. I will treat terrorists' as such and not as common criminals. I will protect the rights and sovereignty of the American Citizens from our own government.

Throughout my life I've felt a deep desire to understand the heritage of our Republic. I took it upon myself to study the historical, founding documentations: the Declaration of Independence and Articles of Confederation, the US Constitution, Federalist and Anti Federalist papers, and the various writings of the great military leaders of the United States.

My personal foundation and work ethic garnered on the family farm supported my enlistment in the Navy where I solidified my commitment to personal responsibility while developing leadership and organizational skills. After my honorable discharge I succeeded in the corporate environment, working my way to a Management role of a Fortune 100 company. After five years as a manager of others, my entrepreneurial tendencies led me to venture out to direct my own future success. I started and operated two companies in fire safety, fire suppression and security systems.

I have no doubt that my personal experiences and life lessons have adequately prepared me for the challenges associated with service to my State and Country. I am confident that by applying honesty, decency, and integrity in my actions and decision-making processes I will prove to be a positive force for getting our Nation back on the right path.
