Sarah Palin
FILE - In this Feb. 11, 2012 file photo, Sarah Palin, the GOP candidate for vice-president in 2008, and former Alaska governor speaks in Washington. Sarah Palin and George W. Bush won’t be in Tampa. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Al Gore aren’t making the trip to Charlotte. And scores of other Republican and Democratic stars are taking a pass as their parties gather at every-four-years national conventions. The reasons are varied _ and political. (AP Photo/J. Sarah Palin skips GOP convention to campaign in Gilbert
Associated Press |
One well-known Republican will not be at the Republican National Convention. Instead, former GOP Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin is starting the week in Arizona to campaign for her allies.
KSAZ-TV reports (http://bit.ly/NxjByI) that Palin is scheduled Monday to campaign for 5th District Congressional candidate Kirk Adams in Gilbert. The two say they will serve barbecue at Joe's Farm Grill.
Adams is running against former representative and gubernatorial candidate Matt Salmon.
Palin says she selected the Gilbert venue after seeing it featured on the Food Network's "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives."
Adams says Palin was very specific about keeping speeches under 10 minutes so she can meet guests.

So, is "skipped" a euphemism for "not invited and not wanted"?

Heywood,
Maybe the previous posts used derogatory terms, but is it being a traitor to want people that are the best and brightest America has to offer representing us?

I can't beleive that people will actually show up to see this fool. She's such an embaracement to the Republican Party. Why don't she ever stay home and take care of her special needs child.

this story is very misleading. palin and a few selct others are not attending the RNC for a reason, they weren't invited and in fact discouraged, so now she can take her dog and reality show mentality on the road to small town america.
