Arizona voters may not get a chance to vote to reelect the president.
Secretary of State Ken Bennett said Friday he is requesting officials in Hawaii to provide verification that President Obama was, in fact, born there.
Bennett, who is the state’s chief election official, said he has had multiple requests from constituents to verify the president is a “natural born citizen” and therefore eligible to hold the highest office in the land. Those requests, he said, included that he demand to see the actual birth certificate and even to go to Hawaii to do a forensic examination of it to determine its authenticity.
He said he rejected those requests. But Bennett said he learned that Hawaii has a law which allows that state to do a verification for any officials from other states who have the need.
“I downloaded the form off of Hawaii’s web site, I got a $5 money order and filled it out and basically sent it in,” he explained. “What you’re asking for really is for them to say, yes we have — or do you have — a certificate for Barack Hussein Obama II born on Aug. 4, 1961 to these parents at this place and on and on and on.”
Bennett said if he eventually gets the verification, end of the matter. And if he does not?
“I don’t think it does anyone any good to speculate the worst case scenario,” he said.
“I think Hawaii will, one way or the other ... will confirm or verify that they have a certificate for the president,” Bennett continued. “And it’s done.”
The move comes despite the fact that Gov. Jan Brewer vetoed legislation last year which would have required candidates for president to provide documents proving they meet the federal constitutional requirement to be a “natural-born citizen” before their name is placed on the ballot. The governor said giving the secretary of state authority to decide if a candidate is eligible, as the law would have allowed, “could lead to arbitrary or politically motivated decisions.”
Similar legislation this year requiring political parties to provide such proof never made it to the governor’s desk.
But Bennett said that does not preclude what he is doing.
“I don’t think every specific act that the secretary of state does in the course of their duty is specifically authorized in a statute,” he said.
For example, Bennett said that as the chief election officer for the state, he designs many forms. And he said there is no specific authority for that.
He acknowledged that so far he has made no similar request for other candidates.
But Bennett, a Republican who is weighing a run for governor in 2014, said he is not singling out the Democratic president for special treatment. He said he was simply responding to the request of a constituent, saying he would do the same thing “if somebody asked me to verify the Libertarian candidate or Mitt Romney or whoever it might end up being.”
Bennett’s move caught Brewer by surprise. But she declined to criticize him.
“I guess whatever he determined is the proper thing to do,” the governor said, saying she does not have an opinion on it.
But the governor already is on record as believing such a request is unnecessary.
Brewer said Friday she had spoken several years ago to her Hawaiian counterpart when the issue first arose.
“She validated to me that the (birth) certificate was valid,” Brewer said. “And I put that to a rest.”
In vetoing last year’s legislation, Brewer suggested there was an “ick” factor in the measure, noting candidates who could not produce a “long form birth certificate” would have the option instead of furnishing other documents.
“I never imagined being presented with a bill that could require candidates for president of the greatest and most powerful nation on Earth to submit their ‘early baptismal or circumcision certificates’ among other records to the Arizona secretary of state,” she wrote.

I have learned that Florida election officials are set to announce that the secretary of state has discovered and purged up to 53,000 dead voters from the voter rolls in Florida.
How could 53,000 dead voters have sat on the polls for so long? Simple. Because Florida hadn’t been using the best available data revealing which voters have died. Florida is now using the nationwide Social Security Death Index for determining which voters should be purged because they have died.
Here is the bad news. Most states aren’t using the same database that Florida is. In fact, I have heard reports that some election officials won’t even remove voters even when they are presented with a death certificate. That means that voter rolls across the nation still are filled with dead voters, even if Florida is leading the way in detecting and removing them.
But surely people aren’t voting in the names of dead voters, the voter fraud deniers argue. Wrong. Obama's base is shrinking fast.

The Hawaii attorney general’s office has reportedly told Bennett that there are steps he needs to take in order to confirm President Obama’s birth records. Those steps include Bennett proving that he legitimately needs confirmation in order to update the records at his office. No liberals can explain why the Obamanation doesn't just ask the Hawaii AG to just release the document for all to see. I can.

Unfortunately, Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett is not adamant that he will keep President Obama’s name off the state’s ballot in November unless he receives confirmation from officials in Hawaii that it has a valid birth certificate on file for Barack Hussein Obama.
Saying that he wants proof of Barack Obama’s citizenship before putting his name on the Arizona ballot, and asking the state of Hawaii to verify President Barack Obama’s birthplace . . But at the same time – saying he believes the president was born in Hawaii. “I believe the president was born in Hawaii – or at least I hope he was,” Bennett said.
Bennett is not at all maintaining a position (or opinion), that the document released by the White House last year as Barack Hussein Obama’s birth certificate is a forgery.
Bennett says that he's merely acting on behalf of a constituent – noting that the deadline to file for the ballot is September 10.

The birth certificate has not been released by the state of Hawaii. When and if the state of Hawaii released a certified copy of his birth certificate that will show once and for all if he was indeed born in a hospital in Hawaii. It will be signed by a doctor. The phony photo shopped version that was released as an uncertified copy is of no legal value even to Obummer's own lawyers who refused to allow it to be used because they know it cannot pass muster. You Obamazombies may move on as you wish but the rest of the country would like to see some proof. Concerning his kindergarten records and many other documents either missing or blocked from scrutiny I think In_God_We_Trust said it best. Tea party patriot, I agree some Americans are fools, but not all of us. I have seen some eye openers on this thread. In my life everyone I know knows Obama to be a fraud, but on these posts it seems many still have their head in the sand. There are still some rational humans though, even among us here. It makes me wonder if the ostriches are really just beaurocrats or others paid by obama. I will not quarrel with them.
I will say, the Gov of AZ did not say she saw records from obamas birth, she said she was told they exist in a way that she believed it. It is important, dear ostriches, when listening to politicians, to listen to their words, not their implications. Politicians love the art of word play.
I am very proud of AZ sec of State and am ashamed that all of the states have not done this sooner. If our Fed Gov wants to sell us down the river to the highest bidder then it is up to our individual states to protect us as best they can.
It never ceases to amaze me that they all put their hands out to collect that tax money but act as if it is unearned income. The FDA works for the highest bidder, the EPA does too, The dept of homeland security sends all of our soldiers away from home and "protects"the land with bombs that would decimate us all. I just dont think anyone in charge has any sense at all sometimes.
I dont feel like my food is safe when it is genetically modified and full of aspartame. I do not feel like my envirnment is protected when it is the site of someones secret medical waste dump. And I dont feel like we should have to pay for the super highways to make it easier for illegals and terrorists to come into this country from South America.

Why would he spend hundreds of thousands of dollars thwarting any attempt to secure documents of his life. Why is everything remaining hidden? In lieu of the questions surrounding his legitimacy to hold the office of president of the United States, why does he continue to prevent the release of evidence that would prove his assertions? It would be a simple thing to do and would put all questions about him to rest once and for all. Instead he bends over backwards trying to hide all these documents from public scrutiny. Why?

Announcing it’s “not her lucky day,” a federal judge in Washington, D.C., has told an eligibility attorney he has dismissed her case demanding information from the Social Security Administration regarding President Obama’s Social Security Number, sought because of suspicions it may be fraudulent.
The case was filed by California attorney Orly Taitz, who has brought many of the major court challenges to Obama’s eligibility based on a lack of evidence that he meets the U.S. Constitution’s requirement that a president be a “natural-born citizen.”
The case at hand was filed against the Social Security Administration because Obama’s number indicates a Connecticut residency, yet there is no evidence he ever lived in the state. He claims he grew up in Hawaii and apparently had a Social Security Number there, as he reported he worked in a Honolulu ice-cream shop.
The judge, Royce Lamberth, credited Taitz for her dedication to her cause but said that “today is not her lucky day.”
He concluded that there’s no real interest in determining whether the Obama Social Security Number is genuine or fraudulent, arguing that the need for privacy for the president trumps all else.
“The SSA explained that the Privacy Act of 1974 … protects the personal information of social security number holders,” he wrote. “The SSA determined … the plaintiff had identified no public interest that would be served by disclosure.
“Plaintiff makes no secret of her intention to use the redacted Form SS-5 to identify the holder of social security number xxxx-xxx-4425 – or, as plaintiff puts it, to confirm her suspicion that the president is fraudulently using that number,” the judge wrote.
But Lamberth wrote in the case against Michael Astrue, Social Security commissioner, that whether Obama is using a fake number isn’t his concern.

Researchers have discovered that Obama’s autobiographical books are little more than PR stunts, as they have little to do with the actual events of his life. The fact is we know less about President Obama than perhaps any other president in American history and much of this is due to actual efforts to hide his record. This should concern all Americans.
A nation-wide network of researchers has sprung up to attempt to fill in the blanks, but at every opportunity Obama’s high-priced lawyers have built walls around various records or simply made them disappear. It is estimated that Obama’s legal team has now spent well over $1.4 million dollars blocking access to documents every American should have access to. The question is why would he spend so much money to do this?
The president who campaigned for a more “open government” and “full disclosure” will not unseal his medical records, his school records, his birth records or his passport records. He will not release his Harvard records, his Columbia College records, or his Occidental College records—he will not even release his Columbia College thesis. All his legislative records from the Illinois State Senate are missing and he claims his scheduling records during those State Senate years are lost as well. In addition, no one can find his school records for the elite K-12 college prep school, Punahou School, he attended in Hawaii.
What is he hiding? Well, for starters, some of these records will shed light on his citizenship and birth.

Hawaiian officials have not validated AKA OBAMA’s place of birth. What they have said is that they “have the original document” on file. They haven’t offered a clue as to what information is in that document nor have they said what kind of birth certificate is on file; a conventional birth certificate issued by a hospital with a doctor’s signature or the kind of birth certificate issued by Hawaii on the basis of an affidavit? The Hawaiian officials are not part of a cover-up. They can not legally validate what is on that document without a court order or permission from “our” Chicago con-man. Recently a Hawaiian government official stepped over the legal line and overtly stated that AKA Obama’s “vital records” showed that he was born in Hawaii. It is entirely possible for the “vital records” of Hawaii to show that a person was born in Hawaii when in fact that person could have been born elsewhere. Laws of the Territory of Hawaii ACT 96 To Provide For The Issuance Of Certificates Of Hawaiian Birth was in effect from 1911 until 1972 and allowed someone who was born outside the Hawaiian Islands to be registered as though he were born in Hawaii. Under that law, someone simply would have presented herself to the Hawaiian authorities and declared that the child was born in Hawaii. The person could have sworn under oath and presented witnesses and other evidence. If the authorities accepted it, that was the end of it. All a person had to do was file a false statement and Hawaii took them at their word. Knowledge of this practice was wide spread and there are probably thousands of people who obtained Hawaiian birth records between 1911 and 1972 through the process of affidavits and witnesses rather than hospitals and delivery doctors. So why is he doing everything in his power to deny anyone access to the real document? The only way to know where Obummer was actually born is to view Obbumer's original birth certificate on file in Hawaii to see what kind of birth certificate it is, and to examine what corroborating evidence supports what it says about Obummer's alleged place of birth. If the birth was in a hospital, as Obummer has maintained, such evidence would be the name of the hospital and the name and signature of the doctor who delivered him. He wont allow that because he wasn't born in Hawaii and the document will show this to be true.
Which is most likely?
Obummer is hiding a conventional birth certificate issued by a hospital and signed by a doctor or Obummer is hiding a birth certificate attested to by witnesses with no hospital or doctor mentioned?
Obama's step-grandmother, Sarah Obama, during a telephonic interview on October 12, 2008, while she was in her home located in Alego-Kogello, Kenya, that was full of security police and people and family who were celebrating then-Senator Obama's success story, that she witnessed Obama's birth in Kenya, not the United States (the English and Swahili conversation is recorded and available for listening). She was adamant about this fact not once but twice.
There are records of Ann Dunham giving birth to "Barack Hussein Obama, III" in Mombassa, Kenya on August 4, 1961. According to an Official of the Provincial Civil Registrar, who openly confirmed the birthing records of Senator Barack H. Obama, Jr. and his mother were present, however, the file on Barack H. Obama, Jr. was classified and profiled. The Official explained Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. birth in Kenya is top secret. Anyone who inquirers is instructed to go to the Attorney General's Office and to the Minister in Charge of Immigration if for further information." The Kenyan government authorities have refused to cooperate and have thwarted all efforts by anyone to obtain any documents concerning Obama.”
That is a real mind bender. Let’s see; Obummer wasn’t born in Kenya but his birth place is declared to be “top secret” by Kenyan officials. There are no records of Obummer being born in Kenya and those nonexistent records are being withheld and are “top secret”. That sounds so much like what the official position of Obummer could be; “I have nothing to hide but I’m hiding it.”

Kindergarten records – this” lost or hidden”
Why would a person want to keep all this hidden from the public if he had nothing to hide? The thing I find most interesting about you head in the sand liberals that like this socialist and what he's doing is that you'll admit that our government is out of control and mostly crooked yet deny that they could or would help this fraud to keep his records from becoming known.
Here's a surprise! Hawaii's Department of Education has been unable to find Obummer’s Kindergarten records. By this time maybe you are no longer surprised.
Obama's Noelani Elementary School Kindergarten records, oddly missing from the State of Hawaii Department of Education, is the first in a series of chronological "coincidences" that obscure Obummer’s history, Although Obama has had a first-class education that spanned 25 years, there is only a single document that has ever been released, the application for entrance to the Franciscus Assisi Primary School, and that document was discovered by independent investigators.
This is an important feature because Kindergarten records for original school entry would have contained the following:
1. Obama's REAL Birth Certificate.
2. An application with the following:
• His Legal name.
• Parents or Legal Guardians’ names.
• Date of Birth
• Place of Birth
• Vaccination Records (revealing a timeline to the place and DOB.)
It also is important for two additional reasons:
A. The Department of Education does not "lose" the records of one particular student. (So, who paid whom what sum to make this record disappear?)
B. There would have been NO shameful low-test scores, NO embarrassing Equal Opportunity advancements, and NO trails of fraudulent funding to hide that could possibly "excuse" the quashing of public school Kindergarten entry records. For the rest of his life he attended very expensive private schools and has had his records legally sealed to deny the public his true life story.
This is different. Hawaii should be able to verify he attended their school since he is featured in class photographs. State and federal tax dollars paid for his initial year of education. Why is there no documentation?
This is the beginning of an intentionally erased life of a fraud and conman and it reeks of complicity by officials within the State of Hawaii’s Dept. of Health and Dept. of Education.

The facts are clear, and the law is clear. All it will take is for a judge to issue a ruling. Do you think Obummer and his lawyers fret about this? They certainly are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to fight this issue. So far, no court or judge has issued a ruling on the merits of any legal case against Obummer. Cases have been dismissed on legal technicalities, but no actual case has yet been heard.

k33, I'm not sure what you're referring to, but according to the state of Hawaii, President Obama meets the Constitutional requirements to be President.
If you're referring to Silvebull 8's "requirements," as I noted then, those are not found in the Constitution; however, if you and Mr. Bull want to get together and propose an amendment to require those, knock your socks off.
In the meantime, all this does is preach to the choir; no one's view of the President will change. The Birthers will still believe he's not an American citizen and the rest of the country will stare at them in wonder.

Thank you Sheriff J Arpaio for shining some truth on these "birther issues". Until the "authenticity" is confirmed and the legitimacy of his CT/ SSN is revealed, all options are still open for review. Mr McClellan, are you willing to discard the Constitutional requirements for political expediency? What really bothers me are the "hidden college transcripts".

Bennett said he learned that Hawaii has a law which allows that state to do a verification for any officials from other states who have the need.
“I downloaded the form off of Hawaii’s web site, I got a $5 money order and filled it out and basically sent it in,” he explained. “What you’re asking for really is for them to say, yes we have — or do you have — a certificate for Barack Hussein Obama II born on Aug. 4, 1961 to these parents at this place and on and on and on.”
Every state should send one of these forms in. If they can state on paper that they do in fact have proof of his birth then they should have no problem. If they are lying through their teeth they may have a problem making that written statement and signing their names to it. Either way it really makes little difference in the election here in AZ. Someone is going to have to put it all on the line by making a signed legal written statement. Make them do it 49 times with every state in the union.

The following is biography in a Acton & Dystel promotional booklet – where Obama’s 1991 Literary agency described Barack Obama as born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii:
“Barack Obama, the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review, was born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii. The son of an American anthropologist and a Kenyan finance minister, he attended Columbia University and worked as a financial journalist and editor for Business International Corporation. He served as project coordinator in Harlem for the New York Public Interest Research Group, and was Executive Director of the Developing Communities Project in Chicago’s South Side. His commitment to social and racial issues will be evident in his first book, Journeys in Black and White.”
The 36-page Acton & Dystel booklet was reportedly distributed to “business colleagues” in the publishing industry. It includes a short biography (and photo) of Barack Obama, along with 89 other authors. Obama’s biography features a brief mention of his anticipated first book, “Journeys in Black and White,” which he never completed or published.
Was it just a public persona published for Obama?
Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett may get the chance to find out if Obama’s short biography (which differs from his long-form birth certificate) is correct.

So just what if? What if Obamas mom was suddenly called on emergency to Kenya? What if she was pregnant for 8 months and the father had some kind of medical emergency so she had to fly to Kenya. She gets there and all of a sudden she's in labor. What if she has the baby in Kenya and was pregnant in the US for the majority of the term? Would you want your child disqualified from being a US prez because his/her mom had to fly to another country for some sort of an emergency?

1. They were native-born in the USA.
2. At the moment of birth, both parents were married to each other.
3. At the moment of birth, both parents were US Citizens.
You will soon separate the eligible from those Who are not eligible.

Two comments about Bennett are most revealing:

In that case, end of the matter; Hawaii has already -- and repeatedly -- verified Obama's birth in Hawaii.
2. "But Bennett, a Republican who is weighing a run for governor in 2014"
Gee, you think his political future has anything to do with this? Which means that his likely primary opponent -- AG Tom Horne -- will have to one-up Bennett. Which means that Horne's off to Hawaii to examine the certificate.
Hey, maybe Horne can enlist McGarrett from Hawaii 5-0, or maybe get Dano to help out.

Mr. Bennett, I am hereby requesting that you verify Mr. Romney's birth certificate. I am not sure that he was even born, but that he is the creation of an animatronics studio. How else to explain his robotic appearance? So, in order that we do not have a robot as a candidate for the presidency, you must verify that he was, indeed, born.
