Brilliant! You can use those 100 round "Colorado killer" magazines and silencers to kill Bambi now. That just makes me feel sooooooooooooooo good, I think I'll go kick my "farm" dog to celebrate.
This is the dumbest thing these idiots have done in a while. But, just wait, I'm sure there's more insanity in the works.

"Study the Bible in public schools for literary purposes."
This is a complete lie to get religion into the schools. There are no "literary purposes" for studying a book of Bronze Age mythology.
The only literary purposes for studying a Bible (or a Koran, or a Torah) would be to teach students that contradictory and false statements are bad, and that plagiarism is frowned upon (they learn this in college, but so many kids cheat these days, it wouldn't hurt to instill some morals at a younger age).
"Exempting dogs used in ranching from the normal animal cruelty laws."
Because these dogs require abuse? How did something like this become a law?
This (and the hunting silencer) show just how stupid and out of touch our legislature and the governor are. Pathetic and shameful.

"But the coursework is limited strictly to the Old and New Testaments, with lawmakers declining to include the texts of other religions."
Which makes it not only illegal, but unconstitutional as well.
How much will the impending lawsuits cost us taxpayers?
WAY TO GO, IDIOTS!

Schools must maintain “religious neutrality”
The stuff is going to hit the fan with this one! This stipulation alone will generate dozens of lawsuits.
Either the school administrators maintain strict neutrality (which means treating Christian mythology just like any other mythology - Greek, for example) or, as many do now, they will add their Christian bias, thus paving the way for discrimination lawsuits. As long as we, the taxpayers, are paying for it, we might as well sit back and enjoy the show.
Now I just need to stock up on popcorn. ;)

Thank you Arizona Legislature and Governor Brewer,
In Arizona the next Holmes can be legally armed with a silencer!
Now that our high schoolers can study the influence the Old and New Testaments had on western culture, the next logical step would be to have them also study other religious texts to see what influence they may have had on western culture. Remember, Thomas Jefferson had read his own personal copy of Koran before he authored the Declaration of Independence! His copy, now in the Library of Congress, was used by Keith Ellison when he took his oath of office as a US Representative. But first, let's require that our elected representatives perform these studies! That out to eliminate them all.

So this is their idea of small government??
Soon you will need permission from Dictator Brewer to breath air.
??...silencers, allowed animal cruelty??

I can't believe my taxes are paying for this lunacy.

"The Bible study measure will allow school districts to offer an elective at the high school level about the influence of the Old and New Testaments on Western literature, law and civilization."
I just realized, we can save all this taxpayer money for Bibles and classes!
You want students to see the influence of Christianity on Western civilization? Just research that time period when Christianity ruled Europe. We refer to that time period as THE DARK AGES.

"Schools must maintain “religious neutrality” and also most accommodate “the diverse religious or nonreligious views, traditions and perspectives of pupils.” But the coursework is limited strictly to the Old and New Testaments, with lawmakers declining to include the texts of other religions".
If you leave out other mainstream religions, that is NOT neutrality. Lawyers: start your engines of money ticking meters.

I took the time to research one of the stupid new laws (not saying ALL the new laws are stupid, a couple actually make sense).
Regarding exempting dogs used in ranching from the normal animal cruelty laws, did anyone else know that the reason for this law was a case last year where a rancher left his dogs in a metal trailer for a week with no food and slimy green water to drink. The new law allows this behavior with no consequences.
Thanks to the soulless hag Brewer, THIS IS NOW LEGAL.

"rancher left his dogs in a metal trailer for a week with no food and slimy green water to drink"
It's called pandering. Some rich rancher knew some crooked legislator and paid them, somehow, to pass this law to save his fanny from a fine.
The lunatics run the asylum here in AZ.
