She keeps going from one extreme (fighting the feds tooth and nail over this issue) to the other extreme (bending over to the feds in regards to MM).
Pick a position and STICK WITH IT!
Oh, and I did the math...taking the governor's salary, the combines salaries of all state legislature members, and divide the total by 365 - that's what they owe us, the taxpayers, for their frivolous "day of prayer".

Curbing the 'influx'?? LOL Too late. AZ is the front door, and it was left open. All we try to do is close it. It has been mass migration. As a nation, we have not faced this. Cost AZ millions, perhaps a billion a year to deal with them. We need to look to problem, all of us together. Mexicans in Tucson taught me the a term that this East Valley website will not allow me to post! rofl in the sixties. LOL I did not know what they meant. Who were these people who's backs were wet, if you get my drift. Mexican families who have lived here for generations don't like the illegals either. But, it is too late. The nation is overrun.

Howard Fischer got this story all wrong. This was already the law in Arizona, nothing has change, this was nothing more than grandstanding by our governor.
To all those that posted here, an illegal can get arrested, get send to Florence, demand an immigration hearing and then, given a court date three years in the future. As the illegal is leaving the facility, they are given paperwork that allows them to work here, given a social security number, and are able to get a drivers license.
I still don't understand the people that want to punish kids that were brought here by their parents at a young age, and have no ties to their home country.

Thank you Governor Brewer for sticking to your guns by not allowing the POTUS to run roughshod over our states rights/sovereignty. These illegal parents, and the chain migration that came along, work for cash using stolen identities. They bring diseases, criminal records, and an entitlement mentality. They offer no loyalty nor do they express a desire to assimilate.. When they get older and can no longer work, social security comes to their rescue. These illegals have no pride as AMERICANS. Mr. Owebama. How is allowing 1,760,000 illegal occupiers to stay in the US and giving them work permits going to help lower unemployment? Do you not understand that these young, educated, motivated and potential small business creators are the only possibility for improving the standard of living in the poor Spanish speaking countries? Jan Brewer and her husband have had three sons, including their son John who died of cancer in 2007.
In 1989, her son Ronald was charged with sexual assault and kidnapping – at which time Jan Brewer was a member of the Arizona Senate from the 19th district from January 1987 through January 1997. Ronald was declared not guilty by reason of insanity for the rape of a Phoenix woman in 1989, and has been a psychiatric patient for 22 years in the Arizona State Hospital.
Gov. Jan Brewer's role in the collection of her son's Social Security benefits was under investigation for more than a year by federal authorities – the basis of the investigation was whether Ronald improperly received benefits at any time. The amount of money in question was about $75,000.
Federal law was changed in 1995, barring Social Security benefits to anyone institutionalized after being found not guilty by reason of insanity. The investigation case was referred to federal prosecutors, who have declined to pursue the charges.

The number of 'illegal occupiers", who came with their parents as children, and did not have a say in the matter, are now being punished for their parent's/relatives actions. As adults now, they have not known any country but the US, and may not even speak their parent's native language. But we - according to Jane and her ideolog followers, must throw them out of the US immediately and must not allow them to show any evidence which could mitigate their legal status. That is preposterous, an action that violates every sense of dignity and christian values the ideologs claim to have.
