Groups plan own suit against immigration law

Singer Linda Ronstadt said Thursday that new legislation aimed at illegal immigrants is bad for the state as a whole. The Tucson native said her brother, Peter, who was police chief in that community, told her this legislation undermines the trust that needs to occur between officers and the community. Behind her is Richard Chavez, brother of civil rights leader Cesar Chavez.
