Historically, there is a 100% corelation between immigration and the economy...immigration risies in a growing economy and retracts in times of a retracting one. U Haul as a measure of migration patterns? Perhaps...but no distinction between one way rental and the lose of over 300,000 jobs in Arizona since December, 2007. Arizona spends $30,000 per prisoner and cuts spending to universities where the instate tuition for students is approching $10,000...Prisoners = $30,000; Students = $10,000...Hmmm? And how many lawsuits have been filed to force cities to enforce immigration laws...ahhhh...zero so far! As far as I know, violent crime has been decreasing well before the introduction of SB1070...which is also true of all the border states cities. Even Sheriff Joe indicated that with or without SB 1070, nothing was going to change for him.
So, what's the point of SB 1070, which was unfunded, unenforceable, and a good part of it has been enjoined by a federal judge?

Your statistics sound redundant. There leaving in caravans, uhaul sales never been better. Thats because your not telling people that not only are hispanics leaving, but most likely that white and black people are leaving as well! As for crime, Im not saying drugs dont come from Mexico cause god knows they do, But I have seen more White and black people sell drugs than I have hispanics! Most hispanics I know keep to them selves and dont bother anybody! Sure they drink and have a good time but they dont bother other people or start fights. Occasionally there will be one that gets dumb and does something stupid! Im saying is, some of the hispanics I know from Mexico, some of the men do drugs but not all of them! And the ones that do smoke weed or more, I have seen them buy it from white people and black people!

I wish you all the luck but I'm afraid the deck is stacked against law, order, and freedom.
When I started looking into where the money was coming from to buy off the politicians and subvert the immigration laws of the world, I came across what may be the root of many of our problems. Fiat Money.
No matter how much real money people can put together to build their countries the way they want there are those that can print up what ever it takes to get their way.
Maybe this will help make the danger of fiat money clear.
Imagine you and me are setting across from each other. We create enough money to represent all of the world's wealth. Each one of us has one SUPER Dollar in front of him.
You own half of everything and so do I.
I'm the government though. I get bribed into creating a Central Bank.
You're not doing what I want you to be doing so I print up myself eight more SUPER Dollars to manipulate you with.
All of a sudden your SUPER Dollar only represents one tenth of the wealth of the world!
That isn't the only thing though. You need to get busy and get to work because YOU'VE BEEN STIFFED with the bill for the money I PRINTED UP to get YOU TO DO what I WANTED.
That to me represents what has been happening to the economy, and us, and why so many of our occupations just can't keep up with the fake money presses.
We are going to have to regain control of our government before we can regain control of our currency. We are going to have to regain control of our currency before we can regain control of our country.

Sounds to me like Angel35 is at the center of the valley drug trade, even a witness to who's buying, who's selling, and when and where. Perhaps if an officer of the court is reading this article, they can track down this poster who's passionate defense of illegal aliens and their drug buying habits might be a ruse for a dealer whinning about lost sales.
As far as the pro-illegal in a beret, since when did enforcement of any law require special funding? The reports on the self-deportation (attrition) of over a 100,000 illegals from Arizona since SB 1070 was passed paid for the paperwork a thousand times over. Comparing the cost to students for a voluntary higher education to criminals incarcerated 24 hours a day is almost as good as pulling the race card. Almost.
Perhaps these two can go dutch on a U-Haul. BTW, Utah is spelled U-T-A-H.

Jan Brewer and Russell Pearce are upholding the law. An indiviual need only follow the law - enter and reside in the U.S. legally - and then not break further U.S. law. Our nation is a great nation because we are a nation of laws.

lol, if sb1070 hasn't been anything but an unqualified success, why is there so much opposition to it? Just wait till the supreme court clears the way for the entire bill to go into effect. That will be a banner day for sure.

Georgia sheriff’s office credits immigration enforcement for large drop in crime
Serious crime in 2010 dropped significantly in Gwinnett County, Georgia with murders down 43 percent, robberies down 30 percent and stolen vehicle reports falling 18 percent.
The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) says that their participation in the 287(g) program accounts for the drop in crime. There are 5,000 fewer illegal aliens in the county jail today than there were in late 2009 when the GCSO began participating in the federal program which allows local law enforcement to identify and report illegal aliens in their custody.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Stacey Bourbonnais told CBSAtlanta: “In the last 10 years, we have never seen a decrease in foreign-born bookings. “In fact, we’ve been seeing significant increases every single year for the last 10 years until the 287 G program started.”
Bourbonnais continued: “All of a sudden the 287g program starts in Gwinnett and you see significant drops like that, you have to know the word is out.”
Since November 16, 2009, the GCSO has identified 4,153 illegal aliens in their custody. Those detainees accounted for a total of 9,177 various charges.
What follows is a list of the most serious crimes with which those illegal aliens were charged:

-Other sex crimes…40
-DUI…658
-Aggravated assault…103
-Robbery…54
-Battery…228
-Murder…4
Mexico represents the country of origin for most of the illegal aliens arrested in the county since the GCSD began identifying and reporting them, with 2,822 from Mexico. Honduras follows with 370, then Guatemala with 372 and El Salvador with 233.

So maybe we should take care of the crimes that all people are committing before we decide to look the other way when illegal aliens steal into America to become parasites on our economy? State legislators in Arizona, Georgia, Florida and other caring States, actually worry about Americans without jobs? Yet businesses still cold-shoulder immigration laws and keep hiring aliens. The paramount issue is still the porous border and some cases, still open ranges. While the indifferent federal governments have completely failed the citizens and residents for thirty years, the illegal immigration population has reached over 20 million plus and with no ending. Our school system is a mess, the health care emergency rooms overrun, prisons cells crammed and billions of dollars being drained from the State and Federal treasuries, to pacify the open border overwrought activists like Rep. Luis Gutierrez, an Illinois Democrat. Misuse by Acorn and others has led to the dismantling of these nefarious entities. However they are like the Phoenix rising from the ashes, and have just changed their group names. To me the highest representation of a legal citizen, is the right to vote and not fraudulently manipulated by Trade Unions or organizations such as ACORN. Different States are concerned about this voter fraud and are now just realize the serious danger. These "Ninja" loans was predominately involved in the real estate bubble bursting, as illegal aliens by the thousands flew the coup. Bilbray (R-CA) has also co-sponsored the SAFE for America Act that would end the visa lottery, the E-LAW Act that mandates E-Verify nationwide, and the Birthright Citizenship Act that would end the practice of granting automatic citizenship to all children born in the United States. The TEA PARTY would go even further with cutting off all benefits, rescinding or removing any chance of so-called Immigration Reform, Chain Migration that is tainted with the word Amnesty. Sanctuary States and cities would be outlawed, as it is unconstitutional and its makers should be arrested and serve time.

The media needs to fact-check Pearce here. Is U-Haul business never better? Has violent crime dropped? Is the prison population down? I don't believe a word that this guy says, and to just reprint his comments like they are truth is a disservice.
