I would love a real answer from the fools that constantly complain about this law and other attempts to correct the illegal immigration problem: What is your specific fix for this situation? No vague answers please. Also if I hear another whiner about racial profiling, I'll vomit. If 90-95% of our illegal immigrants are from Mexico, then obviously we must look to that community for the illegals themselves. It wouldn't do us much good to go looking for Asians, Jews, French-Canadians, 1-legged lesbians, or any other group, now would it? Isreal profiles young middle-easterners who look "arabic" and don't give a flying f..... what the rest of the world has to say. Amazing, none of their planes have been troubled for years. Sadly, here in america, we are so "civilized" that we've become uncivilized: giving more rights to the criminals than to the innocents.

    Interesting compilation of comments.

In light of what Arizona did, and was encouraging other states to do, the DOJ was compelled to file suit, just as it would have done had any other state enacted its own immigration laws in conflict with federal immigration laws and enactments of Congress. As DOJ spokeswoman Hannah August said, "A patchwork of state and local policies would seriously disrupt federal immigration enforcement and would ultimately be counterproductive."

Unfortunately, many of the congressmen and congresswomen quoted here still don't understand the imperative need for the federal government to have nipped such a blatant usurpation of congressional power in the bud.

May I remind Representatives Mitchell, Kirkpatrick and Flake, and Senators Kyl and McCain that the ball is in YOUR court. It is the responsibility of CONGRESS, not the president, to get the show on the road for comprehensive immigration reform.
How much prodding do you need to do your job?

Watching Reichsführer Pearce hyperventilating over 1070 was the best gift I could have gotten; Christmas came early this year. Haters like him and others simply do not get it. The feds are not going to allow a state to go rogue. Huff and puff all u want, it ain't happening.

As a 24 year military veteran of 'Nam thru Gulf War I risen through the enlisted ranks to officer, living and working in Middle East for 8 1/2 years, and returning home in 2006, the United States is betrayed by fellow Americans who have done the least for their freedom. When we lost the draft, we lost real American citizenship and values. This judge needs to removed from office by any and all means - the power of petition and vote needs to be employed now. She like the charlatan in the White House are liars, cowards or traitors to real American values and the protection of the Constitution as an American not New World Order document. And here lay the real problem - from the NAFTA Treaty under the Clintons (please go see who Hillary's college mentor was, and what Bill was doing in Moscow) to the present "native born" President and his entourage of czars (you and I are paying for an inner circle of advisors not supported under the Constitution and residing and working where - Obama better be paying for this out of his own pocket or someone needs to investigate the money trail on these non-Constitutional positions in government facilities using government funds and government equipment.....
And now even our judges have betrayed us. What right does anyone under the Constitution have if they are not Americans? In a word - none unless you are one of these New World Order leftist loons.

When I see foreign flags waved in front of me, Spanish signs everywhere, and these non-US citizens claiming a separate genetic race (this proves they are truly ignorant - a mixed cocktail is still genetically the same), and cheering the fact that they can break our laws with the full support of the President, Congress, and now a judge, well that means either we vote or petition these traitors out of office, or we fight for our rights as real Americans.
And for those Hispanic Americans supporting their own illegal kind rights here I say, start packing your families for the better life down south. We no longer want you and your kind and your problems and your value system here. When you choose these illegal Americans over us, then you are no better than they, and guilt by association is in order.

Since these peoples could not fight for their rights down south, let the politicians and drug lords corrupt their culture and families, that proves they will do the same here as well. In that case they are definitely not welcome. I do not want or will tolerate little Mexico up here...plainly put, it sucks down south of the border and is as dangerous as Iraq.
Someone needs to take that lady judge down there and let her experience the horror of it all where these people come from. Maybe then or when a personal family member is accosted, robbed, raped, tortured, or killed will she see these illegal immigrants for what they truly are - parasites from a society on self-destruct.
Immigration reform - why? No one can afford financially the high cost of and sea of unnecessary paperwork our government imposes on someone wanting to be an American. It is designed that way for financial and political kick-back reasons, In that, these illegal immigrants have a true complaint, and should be educating the public how corrupt our leadership is in this personal interest are of theirs.
But to cheer, play the Baja Marimba band theme song, dance in our streets like they won a major victory is a gross mistake. My comrades who were of Hispanic descent and foguht or served along side me are American...not Latino not Hispanic American...but Americans. And here is the problem..when you as a person have nothing to brag bout in your lazy little insignificant life, you claim to be something important or identify with a group. Either you are an American after one generation or you are not, plain and simple.

And this judge by siding against the American citizens and good people of Arizona trying to protect their families, property and the true American way of life and values has lost the right to represent the Constitution that was written for Americans and Americans alone. Trying to apply the Constitution to the rest of the world's citizens is exactly why the terrorists are after us.
No one but Americans wants to be Americans, and before we lose out real identity as being different from the rest of the world to these CRIMINALS UNDER FEDERAL LAW, we need to act decisively now. First, get that judge out of a post she no longer deserves by virtue of this episode. Second, it is time to think of impeachment for the great impostor who is not protecting the people of the state of Arizona but for a few token gestures. And third, Arizona needs to take action in the world court against the President of Mexico - another politically corrupt New World Order type. Check out where his support and political funds came from.

As far as Congress goes, use the Internet, and flood these self-serving slackers with a call for action as Americans. Time to identify each and everyone who does not act to protect the people of Arizona.

And lastly, time to tell the people of California what true hypocrites they are...one minute they complain of war, corruption, and the loss of freedom and individualism; and then they flood us with porn, drugs, bankrupt state government with taxes that would make most socialist countries heads spin, and the worst examples of citizenship and personal behavior and responsibility by her people of any other state in the Union. California needs the other 49 states, but we do not need them or their sick society. Let them chock on their debt and boycott their products from fruit to movies to books....Florida could use the money as well as the other states.
And someone needs to read that oath back to the judge...apparently she has forgotten who she speaks for, and what I and my friends fought and some died for. But then I am supposing she is a real American - real means by deeds and actions. Judging the judge by these measures, she is not a real American but a traitor to the Constitution, the Republic form of government, and the citizens of the United States of America.
If we do not do something to help ourselves, we will lose America my fellow Americans...without America the world will be Iraq, Mexico, Venezuela (Chavez needs to be capped now), and Afghanistan. And most Americans can not live in those worlds of violence, intolerance, and a two class society...I fear we are headed for a world war not due to these global dictators or terrorists but because of Americans like Obama and our dear judge who have forgotten our history, the true interpretation of the American Constitution, and their people who they are supposed to serve without regard to self, family or personal affairs.
If we do not oppose and remove them now, we will face something far worse than a few cowardly Mexicans fleeing a society and country they made for themselves and their children that they caused by their own personal behavior or lack of patriotism. And in that lack of patriotism we now have something in common with these illegal immigrants...how sad, truly sad we are as real Aemricans.

As I expected, part has an injuction. Even if parts "don't pass" the Fed's, the next laws made will. The US CITIZENS are tired of CRIMINAL FOREIGN NATIONALS having the law protect them and not whom it is suppose to. VOTES will change that soon...

We have laws. The frame work these laws fit in is the Constitution. Laws that don't fit in that framework are examined and ultimately rejected by the third arm of the government, the judiciary. When a group of politicians decide they are above the Constitution, the system halts them. That all is appearing to work. Brewer, Pearce have ridden a crest of propaganda, using every technique available to try and destroy our system. It isn't working. One shouldn't expect it to. Senator Joe McCarthy once rode a similar crest by targeting "Communists." And while I suppose there will always be the opportunists to try and dismantle the system, the system has defeated them, and I don't really expect that to change. In fact neither Brewer nor Pearce and Kavanagh impress me half as much as McCarthy did when I was a kid. But I suppose it takes a rather immature mind to accept the approach at all.

    MR666,

In light of the federal judge's granting of injunctive relief for those specified sections of SB 1070 and for the reasons stated, precisely who are you identifying or misidentifying as "Criminal Foreign Nationals"?

C'mon, show us how smart you are at understanding the law, the facts and SB 1070. Maybe you can go to your revered mentors Russell Pearce and Joe Arpaio to help you out with your answer.

Regardless of the current outcome, I find it very compelling that so much attention has been brought to the matter. Now, if we can get the government to make some sort of act upon this attention and do what the people clearly want done, it may just be worth it. I found an article earlier today that I think proves that people are upset in all parts of the country of what has happened. it was an interesting read. http://www.publicsafetydegrees.com/blog/index.php/homeland-security-stories/illegal-immigration-is-a-matter-of-public-safety-and-homeland-security/
