CHANDLER -- Arizona Department of Public Safety officers stopped a van loaded with suspected illegal immigrants in Chandler despite the efforts of another driver to distract the officer.
Spokesman Bart Graves says an officer spotted a minivan northbound on Interstate 10 south of Phoenix just before 6 a.m. Friday and discovered it had been reported stolen. A car then cut him off in an apparent attempt to distract him from the van.
The officer followed the van off the freeway into Chandler, where the car's driver bumped the back of the cruiser.
Officers eventually detained the car driver, the van driver and a passenger as suspected human smugglers. Twenty-two suspected illegal immigrants were turned over to federal agents.
Graves says the car's driver was the son of the woman driving the van.

Nice job DPS! The importation of poor people (21st century slavery) is still the shameful practice of U.S. business owners.

It's time to create tougher laws against those that assist ILLEGAL ALIENS as well as BE ALLOWED to enforce the laws currently on the books....
