TUCSON - A southern Arizona high school cheerleader and a coach injured in a van rollover on the way to a football game have been upgraded to serious condition.

Sixteen-year-old cheerleader Tyler Cline and 47-year-old coach Elizabeth Zazueta are being treated at University Medical Center in Tucson.

They were in critical condition over the weekend, but were upgraded Monday.

Eight cheerleaders and three coaches were in the van from San Manuel High School about 10 miles west of Benson when the driver swerved to miss a dog on the highway, causing the rollover Friday.

Three cheerleaders are in fair condition while everyone else was released after treatment.

Two men in a car that had been following the van were killed when they were hit by a semi truck as they slowed to avoid the wreck.
