Junior Achievement of Arizona named Valley-based University of Phoenix its 2010-2011 Corporate Partner Award winner.

“We are incredibly grateful for the long-term partnership we have enjoyed with University of Phoenix,” said Joyce Richards, president at Junior Achievement of Arizona.

University of Phoenix’s partnership with Junior Achievement began in 1994 and has expanded over the years. During the past year, University of Phoenix has served as the presenting sponsor of JA You’re Hired! — a work- and career-readiness program for high school students — and created a mock campus at JA’s BizTown in Tempe. The JA Biz Town University of Phoenix campus allows middle school students to enroll as college students, earn diplomas and experience campus director and academic advisor roles.

University of Phoenix employees have donated 1,329 hours of volunteer service at 57 schools during this past year.
