In a year forecast to be a good one for fishermen, the Arizona Game and Fish Department is now using a mouse to help people catch fish.
A computer mouse, that is.
The state’s Game and Fish Department has launched an interactive fishing map, detailing good spots of where to fish, along with other information on Arizona’s rivers and lakes.
Anglers can find 150 of the best fishing lakes, streams and rivers by accessing the map at www.gis.azgfd.gov/fishandboat or www.azgfd.gov.
The map also details fish species, available facilities and concessions, and even special regulations that might apply.
“This is an interactive Google map, which is very user friendly, so finding information about a fishery is just a click away, or maybe a touch away if you have a touch screen,” says fisheries biologist Eric Swanson.
The map also contains information for recreational boaters and will post more information for boaters in May.

There is a pretty cool az rivers and lakes map on that site that is simular. I like the game and fish one, lots of new spots that you can find once the lakes start getting busy this spring.
