Tempe has extended its award nomination deadline for the 14th Annual Diversity Awards that are issued at its annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration. The deadline is now Dec. 28. To be eligible, nominees must live, work or volunteer in Tempe and show a dedication to diversity. The city’s Human Relations Committee will recognize six areas, including individual adult, individual youth, community group, educational organization, business and diversity supplier. The supplier category is self-nominated and requires the company to have done business with the city this year.

Nomination forms are available at www.tempe.gov/diversity/MLK/default.htm. To request a form or for ticket information to attend the Jan. 16 Diversity Awards Brunch, call (480) 350-8979.
