YUMA - Police in Yuma say they've made three arrests in the shooting death of a 16-year boy.
Yuma police spokesman Clint Norred says officers went to a neighborhood east of the Marine Corps Air Station at about 1 a.m. Friday on a shots-fired call and found Octavio Acosta shot multiple times. He was taken to a hospital but was pronounced dead.
Norred says investigators worked quickly and identified the three male suspects, who were arrested Friday afternoon.
They include a 15-, 16-, and 18-year-old. All were booked on charges of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder and participating in a criminal street gang.
Norred says the shooting was gang related.
