Two former Arizona Supreme Court justices have died.

The court announced that retired Chief Justice William Holohan died Friday and retired Justice Robert Corcoran died Tuesday. Holohan was 82 and Corcoran was 76.

Holohan served on the state high court for 17 years and Corcoran was appointed to replace Holohan when Holohan retired in 1989. Corcoran served on the Supreme Court until 1996.

Both served as lower court judges being appointed to the Supreme Court. Chief Justice Rebecca Berch says their deaths were "significant losses" for the state's legal community.
