Valley residents planning to travel to Payson today should expect delays and plan a detour off the main route as a semi-truck carrying oil rolled over on State Route 87 about 30 miles south of the town this morning.
According to a release from the Arizona Department of Transportation, State Route 87 is closed while the oil is cleaned up.
The driver of the truck was taken by ambulance to Scottsdale Healthcare-Osborne with non life-threatening injuries.
Travelers going to Payson should use I-17, then State Route 260 into Payson or US 60 then State Route 88 and then State Route 188, according to the release.
