On Tuesday, June 5, astronomers and rangers will share views at Grand Canyon National Park of a rare transit of Venus across the sun.
The viewing will occur in front of the Grand Canyon Visitor Center from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., then will move to Mather Point for the remainder of “the show.”
Solar viewers or glasses would be helpful. But astronomers and rangers will also have appropriate viewing equipment and filters as well as solar glasses to share.
