I hope all that oppose Pearce are robbed, defrauded, assaulted, raped and victimized by the very illegals he is trying to protect you from. Those of you who are American citizens who oppose his efforts to get rid of the illegals should be ashamed of yourselves.

Welcome newby. At comment #3, you are a recent participant.

If robbery, fraud, assault, rape and other types of victimization by illegals were a significant problem, wouldn't Pearce be able to show statistics to prove it so?

Your fear of illegals makes you a victim of Pearce.

I just cannot believe Juggernaut comments that he would wish anyone to be victimized the way he discribes. Just because you don't agree with people you want them to be raped? Come on is that what is left of public discourse?

Dale, do you not follow the news and read all the crime being committed by illegals? I do not fear illegals, I fear they will cause America be a third world country in the near future if efforts like Pearce's are opposed.
I don't wish anyone to be raped, but I am trying to make a point that these illegals are a cancer to this country and bleeding heart liberals are letting them run free.

Most of you commenting on this article dont even vote ! Those who voted for this moroon thought they voted for a man who was out to better Arizona. This racist has ONE agenda, thats to rid this state of every single brown skinned person of Hispanic decent. He is a racist, plain and simple. Since he got his little finger shot off by an illegal years ago. The man is so busy doing NOTHING to solve this states disastorous financial cirsis his OWN KIDS are going to jail ! More than once ! He has done NOTHING, to solve the housing issue, unemployment, jobs, taxes, the budget, NOTHING. He has sponsored ONLY bills pertaining to illegals, THATS IT ! He blames every thing in this state on illegals. Get rid of them and your house is worth 10x more ! Youll have a job. Youll see a balanced budget ! Yeah right ! Sounds like a man from Germany named Adolph and his ideas !

I personally live in his district and am amazed at his arrogance. I have tried contacting his office to find out information up coming bills, just to get nothing in a reply. Not even a computer generated email. I have many nieghbors and family members who's votes will determine his future and when talking with them they feel the same. In fact when I inform some that he is their State senator they are suprised that he is their representative and usually it is not a positive one. Judging from my nieghborhood polls he is not going to be in the Senate much longer. More because he has not shown any other efforts or worked on anything besides his personal quest to deal with illegal immigration which is indeed a federal issue and we should be screaming at Washington about vs letting our state assembly try to tackle which has resulted in decreased tourism and a bruise on our local economy. We have dozens of local businesses and shops closing in Mesa with a lot of other local problems that have nothing to do with illegal immigration. He doesn't even pay any of that lip service. Recall or not I think he is on his way out unless he engages his district a little more. Until now many of my nieghbors didn't care who represented them. Now they do! He is actually going to have to go out and earn votes unless the person running against him is a total loser. I think that he is just so full of himself though he will probably think it is beneath him. I want him out for that reason alone. I want someone who represents me to at least listen to me!

Dale Whiting, try telling your B.S. to the famiily of the man that was killed along witih the horse he was riding, by an illegal alien. In case you missed it, it's the same illegal alien that was profiled on America's Most Wanted in 2009 and recently captured in Casa Grande. Typical behavior and disregard for our laws and our citizens. That's why I'm glad Russell Pearce is in office and will continue to vote for him. He gets the job done and thumbs his nose at being politically correct in favor of looking out for AMERICAN CITIZENS.

The recall group submitted more than 18,300 signatures on recall petitions.

How could it be possible that more people (from the 18th district in west Mesa) signed the recall than voted for Russell Pearce last year??

Either way, there must at least 7,756 valid signatures from registered U.S. citizens living in District 18 only.

I agree with Dale . . . You have become a victim of the fear.

And of all the crime committed by the "illegals" . . . you mean the by the murderous Shawna Forde, right?

What crimes? Be specific instead of repeating the fear.

    Got Aphasia?

It doesn't matter who is behind the recall. Over 18,000 LD18 residents signed the petition. What REALLY matters is Pearce and what he has done. His time is through. His 15 minutes are up. Pearce is a goner.

There WILL be a Recall Election . . . and there is absolutely nothing any Pearce Supporter can do about it, especially those consultants from outside his district.

It's time for that Nazi-loving, Racist, Natavist, Wife-beating, MVD-terminated, loser to leave the Arizona government.

Those legislators and elected officials who don't oppose illegal immigration will be vividly remembered by the growing TEA PARTY membership. If we used zero tolerance policies to remove illegal aliens from America, it would save us trillions of dollars in the years ahead. Each of the thousands of TEA PARTY cells will be looking to oust those who have pushed our country into this financial chaos. Very few politicians or officials stand openly for restoration of American rights and ready to stand up against the illegal alien occupation. In Arizona Senator Russell Peirce, Governor Jan Brewer, Sheriff Joe Aripaio are serving their people to stop this travesty of our laws and contain the businesses who are profiteering and not hiring a legitimate workforce. Governors such as Andrew Cuomo called the “architect or ruin”, which had much to do with the real estate collapse and low income and illegal immigrant mortgages. Such Mayors as Antonio Villaraigosa of Los Angeles, for evasion of implementing E-Verify and Secure Communities, in exposing foreign nations in the workplace and criminal aliens through a ICE fingerprinting. A new poll conducted by Rasmussen found that 82% of likely voters think businesses should be required to use E-Verify. Because of the incompetence of the major parties the border fence is incomplete (NOT COMPARABLE TO THE 2006 Secure Fence Act) and the 1986 Simpson-Mazzoli immigration laws not enforced.

So many other States are going it alone, to protect their own residents from economic illegal aliens. While California and Sheriff Michael Hennessey, in the ultra-Liberal fortress of San Francisco who is illegally opting out of policing laws such as mandatory Secure Communities, that is a resonating signal for parasitic economic illegal aliens to quickly arrive there. Releasing any illegal aliens is incorrigible, and ICE being implicated shows that the Obama administration has a no intentions of enforcing laws. This is the same fiasco with highlighted States like Nevada and cities as Chicago and Denver named infamously as Sanctuary cities and states, which are ignoring federal law. ICE doesn’t seem to be reigning in these policies and apprehending the officials behind these illegal people havens. Cops and citizens-legal residents are dying, at the bloody hands of illegal migrants and immigrants that the city councils and managers have no interest in rescinding these anti-sovereignty laws and ordinances? When Rep. Jared Polis (D-CO) represent illegal aliens as “Undocumented Immigrants” he and others who use this misnaming of these criminal people, will be ousted in his next re-election, compliments of the TEA PARTY.

The House of Representatives is debating and voting on amendments to the 2012 Homeland Security spending bill. Several immigration amendments will be offered and receive votes. It will be the first votes cast on immigration during the 112th Congress. An amendment that increases spending for the administration of the 287(g) program passed in the House of Representatives. In addition two border security amendments offered by Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) to the 2012 DHS spending bill were passed by the House of Representatives on Wednesday. The two amendments would reallocate funds to provide funding towards removing mountain lookout posts along eh U.S.-Mexico border. These lookout posts are used to aid illegal aliens and drug smugglers in avoiding border patrol agents stationed in the desert. Funds to hire shadow wolves, who are an elite unit, that track smugglers along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Attn: When we have 15 million people out of work nationally, why is the federal government giving contracts to foreign countries. watching C-Span today, Congress listened to Rep. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) pleading that US contracts for US Coast Guard diesel engines, should be made in America and not Germany? Another Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) brought to attention of both House parties, that a company in San Francisco was given a contract to manufacture TSA uniforms, and turned around and outsourced the work to Mexico. All patriotic Americans should bombard Federal and State Representatives and demand that all government contracts should go to USA companies and not outsourced to foreign countries.

The People's power is invincible, but we must stand together against many entities who are only interested in profit and exploitation. We can join NumbersUSA and band together by demanding a--MANDATORY E-VERIFY--nationwide, from our federal, State representatives or call Senate—202-224–3121/ House—202-225–3121.

CHAD SNOW IS AN IMMIGRATION LAWYER (SNOW & CARPIO). But the filth at KSAZ FOX 10, KPNX NBC 12, and KPHO CBS 5, all in Phoenix, won't tell you that.

BUT they have no problem telling you that Snow is a member of the LDS church, and "a Republican leader".

Earlier tonight I called FOX 10 and called them out about reporting all the facts. They told me that Snow's occupation as an illegal immigration profiteer is "not news".

In my humble opinion, Pearce is like a bull in a china closet. So far he has accomplished NOTHING except to rouse tensions in the Hispanic and Business communities. What exactly does that do for the State or those who would like to see meaningful immigration reform?
Someone pointed out that if Pearce were truly interested in halting immigrants from using our resources then he would be more aggressive about legislation that audits employers. E-Verify is only half of a solution; the State also needs to randomly audit businesses to verify that all employees are in fact paying taxes.

Russ, I think you are a lousy public leader.

Indeed!! Isn't it odd that Pearce targets "illegals" but not the businesses that knowingly employ them. Why? Because they are the big corporations Pearce is
in bed with. It's akin to arresting the protitute and not the John or arresting the drug user and not the drug dealer. WE ARE ON TO YOU MR. PEARCE AND OUT YOU GO!

I hear many of you say Pearce is history, Pearce is finished, Pearce doesn't have a chance, and the time honored Pearce is a Nazi that hates brown skinned people, but who will you put up against him? Will you put up someone like Snow who is an immigration lawyer? Will they be someone who is against illegal immigration or against anti illegal immigration laws recently passed here in AZ? Do you really see anyone out there that will fight as hard as Pearce has to end the illegal immigration problem AZ has? Do you think Arizonans will vote in someone who is less committed to fighting illegal immigration? Who? Oh I know Dale doesn't think there is a problem cause someone didn't post a brightly colored graph detailing all the multifaceted problems associated with illegal immigration. Cerulean thinks all Pearce ever did was rouse tensions in the Hispanic and Business communities. Really? All he ever did? lol gpscentral says how it's so odd that Pearce targets "illegals" but not the businesses that knowingly employ them. Did you not notice the US Supreme Court finally gave us the green light to go after the businesses? WE'RE ON TO YOUR LACK OF INTELLECT MESTER GPSCENTRAL IF THAT IS YOUR REAL NAME! lol wdgnas makes the same assertion so I guess he's on the same page as gpscentral. All in all, reading these comments about Pearce has been better than reading the funny pages. Thanks for the laughs La Ratza.

Butters since you have no problem getting in touch with Mr. Pearces office please extend some of my questions for them concerning what I see as much bigger problems facing this state then the immigration issue. One what is his overall plan to help drive economic recovery for the Mesa area and state of Arizona? Now with budget cuts established for the next fiscal year and the cuts to the ACCHS if there is a huge loss of healthcare jobs as predicted by many of the healthcare systems leaders in our community is there any thoughts on how to save those jobs and strengthen those systems through public or nonpublic measures? What legisaltion is he proposing or supporting to help local business owners who create many jobs at this horrible economic time? I have emailed his office and this email

    rpearce@azleg.gov

    So far nothing.
Oh by the way I definitly do live in his district and as captain of a nieghborhood block watch and local business owner have several discussions with many people in the local area. Probably around a 100+ over the last few months. I am watching as business after business on Main in Mesa close. Many of whom have been there for decades. Even our Mayor Scott Smith has expressed concerns on how the budget cuts of state are going to hit the city of Mesa hard.

Immigration though a problem is way blown out of proportion when compared to others. I agree with verification of legal status by employers. I want tougher border security. I want our police chasing down criminals on the streets like sexual preditor who was attacking young girls in Phoenix. Not illegal immigrant by the way. Illegal immigrants make up smaller proportion of crime than many are lead to believe. Their economic impact as far less an issue than many others. I know border security is improving over what it was years ago, and as a result the criminal activity is increasing, because they cannot just walk across any more.
SB 1070 chased many illegals out of the state. Did our economy improve or did our local crime rates go down? Not that I have seen in my community who elected Mr. Pearce. His name will appear on the ballot that I recieve in 2012. I have a feeling it won't on yours.

We will see in a couple of months if Mr. Pearce can actually engage his district again, rather than just blame outside interest groups.

Based on the encounters I had with petition passers, I doubt that the collected signatures will be verified. I met three of them and not one asked if I lived in district 18 and only one asked if I lived in Mesa. The other asked if I would sign for my neighbors and friends. When I replied I wouldn't, he called me a racist MFer and spit at me. Not the best representation of the opposing side.

That would upset me too. I actually never saw or signed the petition. I am just interested to see who would run against him. Last election was a young guy with no experience. It wasn't much of a choice really. If someone decent runs against him I think he will lose. I think the petition will stand when it is evaluated. The retired teacher and many involved in the recall Pierce group are for real and in the community. We will know by August.

Moderation, who exactly of those involved in the recall effort live in his Pearce's district? Parraz and Snow don't. I guess, as it always is, the recall election will have a lot to do with who is running. Who is out there that you would consider decent, whatever that means, that will run against Pearce? I wish him well whoever he or she is, but if they have an axe to grand against our state's new immigration laws, they don't stand much of a chance. This will be a tough race for anyone running against Pearce as he is very popular in spite of what some say. Whoever can win will have to be for the tough immigration laws Pearce has championed. Why hasn't anyone stepped forward yet to claim they can beat Pearce? Does anyone know of such a person? I haven't heard a peep out of any qualified candidates
