Romley's a weasel that WANTS to be voted in, instead of a temp position given by a board that's on the take/in bed with ILLEGAL ALIENS. He won't last long.
rrjen: agree with you 100%, like Arpaio. He has done alot of good, now I know we all have skeletons in our closets that is not to say he does not. But he is not afraid to back down, like alot of politicians.
AzTxDragon, NCIC is more like the official repository of information. Arrests and conviction records (usually fed through a state's database system). Missing persons. Stolen property.
Local police departments have created systems to manage data about crimes, before arrest and conviction, in addition to the details of property stolen. Persons of interest. Leads. Witnesses. Patterns of criminal activity (location and time).
It's the local systems they want to merge into one regional system.
You're dreaming if you think Joe is afraid of anything this temporary DA can do until we vote him out. You little people really think you can slow down the Sheriff's office with these games? Not going to happen. In the end it will be business as usual. That is to say he will continue to do the job we the voters want him to do. Keep up the good fight Joe.

Why are AZ LEO's complaining about? There is a computerized system that connects each state with the federal LEO agencies and most states have one that uses the same type of computer system that the feds use. The system is NCIC (National Criminal Information Computer). How do I know this? I at one time was a LEO out of Texas and one of jobs in the department was communtcations and the departments computer. It was my job to make sure all date was inputed into the system correctly and I also showed each new office on how to work the computer. For what I see id that all of the different agencies in the state cant make up their minds on what to use. Why not make it simple, everyone uses the same system madated by the Arizona Main LEO department. In TX ours was called TCIC and call it ACIC, clever huh. No wait that would be to simple for Rommeny and Arpaio
Arpaio is just afraid that if Romley and the CA run this, MCSO loses some of it's declining control. Plus, it will be harder for Joe to conduct expensive and vindictive witch hunts!

Romley is kissing up to cops after he prosecuted so many the last time he was in office. EV Trib gives the illusion off that police like him - WRONG.
