The Arizona Attorney Gerneral’s Office indicted 48 members of two human smuggling organizations following an eight-month investigation.

Local and federal authorities arrested suspected ringleader Roman Robaina, who lives near Miramar, Fla., on Thursday along with a dozen others from Phoenix.

The two human smuggling organizations smuggled in more than 15,000 illegal immigrants per year at a cost of $30 million. The suspects were booked into Maricopa County Jail and are awaiting arraignment.
